ESP Clarinet Quartet is a semi-professional group situated in the Blackmore Vale area of South-West England. We formed in 2008 and have already played at a number of events in the area.

The Players

The Players all live and work close to one another in the South-West and met through various musical groups.

The Name

The name ESP was born from the players' nationalities:

5. Sarah and David are both English,

19. Markus is Swiss (David also has Swiss roots in his ancestry), and

16. Marcin is Polish

The 'Clarinet Quartet' part of the name speaks for itself!

The Clarinets

The quartet is made up of three B♭ Clarinets and one Bass Clarinet, but we are able to introduce different effects by substituting the B♭ Clarinets with an E♭ (Soprano) Clarinet, an A Clarinet and an Alto Clarinet.
